Nightwish — финская метал-группа, исполняющая песни преимущественно на английском языке. Была образована в 1996 году в городе Китее. Раннее творчество Nightwish отличалось сочетанием женского академического вокала бывшей вокалистки Тарьи Турунен и своеобразной атмосферы пауэр-метала. Этот стиль чаще всего определяют как пауэр-метал и симфоник-метал. Голос нынешней вокалистки Анетт Олзон существенно отличается от прежнего голоса группы. Несмотря на то, что в своей родной стране они добились успеха после первого же сингла, мировое признание пришло к ним только после альбомов "Oceanborn" (1998) и "Wishmaster" (2000), с клипами, имевшими успех на известных телеканалах.
